Working with you to define a plan

Before we begin creating your website design, we will work with you to determine what goals the website needs to fulfill. The idea is to get your vision and goals on paper and then put our team to work making it a reality.

Planning is essential for putting together a website that accomplishes your business goals — i.e., what pages and features the website requires to fulfill the goal, and the timeline for building those out.

Creating something beautiful

Now that we’ve got a blueprint in place for delivering a great product, we can start to think about visual design and styling. Depending on the client, this may already be well-defined, but you might also be defining the visual style from the ground up.

We’ll continue to research relevant trends and take on board your brand to create the ideal visual picture. By doing this, we’re making sure your website not only works well but looks great too.

Bringing it to life

We develop your website on a private staging server, which allows you to see what the website looks like before it is available to anyone else. By now, you’ve got all your pages and defined how they display to your website visitors, so it’s time to make sure it all works.

Combine manual browsing of the website on a variety of devices with automated website crawlers to identify everything from user experience issues to simple broken links.

Launch time! Let’s show the world

Once everything’s working beautifully, it’s time to plan and execute your website launch! This should include planning both launch timing and communication strategies — i.e., when will you launch and how will you let the world know? After that, it’s time to show the world.

After the launch, we run a comprehensive quality assurance check to ensure the site is visible to search engines, run diagnostics to ensure proper functionality, and make any final adjustments.

How long will a website take to build?

The length of time it takes to design and build a fully functional website is based on many factors. Custom design work can take anywhere from 1 – 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of revisions you require.

Through meetings, planning and discussion we’ll be able to understand your requirements and then be able to estimate a project launch date.

What do you need to begin?

We will talk to you in detail to work out what you want your website to do for your business, and discuss how we think it should look and what sort of content (words, photos, video or other images) will be required.

We ask that you provide all the required information in advance; don’t worry if you are not sure where to start, we are here to help!

Can i see the website in progress?

Yes. In fact, we encourage it. We build your website on our development server, and provide you with a username and password so that you can log in and monitor the progress of your website.

During this phase, we encourage your feedback if something isn’t quite the way you envisioned it or if you’ve changed your mind.

How do you differentiate from others?

We start you out with the latest version of WordPress, the same one you’d download from WordPress.org. And anytime there’s an update, we install it for you automatically.

You never have to hassle with installing another update or worry about running an outdated or compromised version of WordPress.

Can i edit the website myself?

Yes. We always instruct clients on how to update their website. In fact we make this as easy as possible when developing your website.

We understand that not all businesses have the time to update their website and for that reason we offer a popular stress-reducing service, simply explain what needs updating and then leave it to us.

When do i make a payment?

We require an advance payment of fifty percent (50%) of the project quotation total before any work is started or supplied to the client for review.

The remaining fifty percent (50%) is required after the development stage, with any remaining due upon completion of the work, prior to upload to the server or release of materials.
